The Rainbow Children Foundation is blessed to be surrounded by mountains and native vegetation which makes it a magical place within the Sacred Valley of Urubamba. In the same way, many of our students come from communities and areas where the land is a source of life through the cultivation of food and grazing of small animals such as cattle or sheep.
Since 2019, within the school Niños del Arco Iris, Mother Earth became another teacher for our children by incorporating the TiNi Methodology (Tierra de Niñas, Niños y Jóvenes) into their learning, which allows them to have a space for direct interaction with nature and learn from it. In this way, our students become agents of change in favor of the care of Pachamama.
This year 2023, the children continue to carry out actions in favor of environmental care such as recycling inside and outside the classroom, reusing solid waste, making compost with fruit peels and constant cleanliness and order.
In this sense, we commemorated Earth Day at the Niños del Arco Iris school by teaching our students the importance of taking care of nature and what actions can be taken to continue preserving our home.
